Who is David A Steynberg?

David A Steynberg studied information science, specialising in publishing at the University of Pretoria from 2002 to 2004. He began working at Farmer’s Weekly magazine as a junior copy editor in March 2005. In May 2007 he was promoted to deputy chief copy editor, and for the first eight months of 2008 worked as a journalist. His main areas of interest included legal and business journalism, occasionally dabbling in investigative work.
With a desire to cover human interest stories, he moved to People magazine in August 2008 where he developed a keen sense for translating human emotion into award-winning journalism. In September 2011, he received two awards: Caxton Magazines Editorial Excellence Awards for Best Feature: Real Life for the story "Tragedy At Grootvlei Gold Mine: Ruined Lives and Suicides", and runner up for Writer of the Year.
Before moving on to take up his first editorship, David completed a year-long fellowship with the International Women’s Media Foundation focusing on reporting HIV/Aids in South Africa with the story, "Zimbabweans Cast Out To Die?"
From November 2011 to February 2013, David edited the South African Property Owners Association’s (SAPOA) official publications, South African Property Review and Property Developer where he excelled in leading a small team of journalists and layout artists, all the while keeping his finger on budget and client relationships.
On his 30th birthday, David decided to leave full-time employment to pursue his own business interests with a desire to expand his portfolio of work.

You will help him write his next chapter.
